Acoustic noise monitors have been placed at several locations in and around the airport. Three are installed in fixed locations: one at Eyjabyggð in Keflavík, one at the pumping station of HS Veitur at Grænásvegur 14 and one by the school Háaleitisskóli. In addition to these three, one portable monitor is available for noise monitoring at other locations, for example in response to complaints. In late 2017, a Web track system was added to the noise monitoring system, better enabling people in neighbouring communities to gauge noise levels and even submit complaints about specific flights.
