- Name of city/town missing. Applicants often write only the street name where they live, but are required to also enter the municipality and postal code.
- The e-mail address is illegible. It is important for the applicant’s e-mail address to be clearly legible because the online training course is sent to the applicant’s personal e-mail address.
- Section 1 of the Application for Background Check should be left blank. That section must be completed by Isavia.
The ID Card Office is located at the “Golden Gate” (Gullna hlidid), i.e. at the end of the extension building, which is on the departures side of the Leifur Eiriksson Air Terminal. See image.
As soon as you’ve completed the test, you can collect the ID card at Isavia’s ID Card Office between 8:00 and 16:00 on any weekday (Mon-Fri). There, your picture will be taken and the ID card will be printed. The ID card will be activated immediately, so you can start using it right away.

Once you’ve been vetted (background-checked) by the police, you’ll be sent an online training course to the e-mail address given in the application form. The e-mail that you’ll receive will include an attachment with instructions.

You will receive your work-related information from your employer or immediate supervisor.
If you’re working for Duty Free Iceland or Isavia, please pick up your uniform at Isavia’s offices on Level 3 of the Leifur Eiriksson Air Terminal. If you’re working for any other employer, you will receive your information from your employer.
