Domestic Airports operated by Isavia cooperate with the Chief Epidemiologist, the Directorate of Health and the Civil Protection Department to coordinate response to the increased spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Travellers are advised to follow recommendations from the public health authorities below.

If people feel flu like symptoms they are advised to call 1700 from an Icelandic phonenumber or +354 544 4113 from a foreign phone where a health care professional will give you further information and guidance. The emergency service number in Iceland is 112.

Grímsey Airport is located on Grímsey, an island 40km north of Iceland. Norlandair operates three to seven weekly scheduled flights between the island and Akureyri Airport. Through a partnership between Norlandair and Air Iceland Connect, flights can be booked from Reykjavík to Grímsey with a layover at Akureyri.
