Domestic Airports operated by Isavia cooperate with the Chief Epidemiologist, the Directorate of Health and the Civil Protection Department to coordinate response to the increased spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Travellers are advised to follow recommendations from the public health authorities below.

Vopnafjörður Airport is located on the banks of River Hofsá at the inner end of Vopnafjörður fjord about 4km from Vopnafjörður village in north-east Iceland. Norlandair operates scheduled flights to and from Akureyri Airport five times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
