REYKJAVIK AIRPORT
Reykjavík International Airport is the centre for domestic flights in Iceland. The airport is located in Vatnsmýri which is near the centre of Reykjavík.
The airport is one of four international airports in Iceland, and quite a lot of international traffic travels through it, mainly private flights. Approximately 500 thousand passengers travel through the airport each year.
There are two runways at the airport; 01/19 which is 1.567 metres and 13/31 which is 1.230 metres.
The runways of Reykjavík Airport are open from 07:00 - 23:00 on weekdays and from 08:00 - 23:00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and on public holidays.
