A volcanic eruption started on the Reykjanes Peninsula at 22:17 GMT on Monday evening, December 18th, 2023. Further information on the eruption can be found on the website of the Icelandic Meteorological Office and the Civil Protection website.

Keflavik Airport and Reykjavik Airport are not impacted and fully operational. Isavia is closely monitoring developments.

Passengers are advised to monitor the airlines´schedule on Keflavik Airport website and Reykjavik Airport website.
