A volcanic eruption started on the Reykjanes Peninsula at 07:57 GMT on Sunday morning, January 14th, 2024. Further information on the eruption can be found on the website of the Icelandic Meteorological Office, the Civil Protection website and the Visit Iceland website.

Keflavik Airport and regional airports in Iceland are not impacted and fully operational. Isavia is closely monitoring developments.

Passengers are advised to monitor the airlines´schedule on Keflavik Airport website, the regional airports´ websites or with their airlines.
