Construction on a new taxiway at Keflavik Airport might cause increased noise levels

Construction is currently underway on a new 1,200 meter taxiway at Keflavik Airport. The The taxiway will connect the terminal apron to the runway and improve the traffic flow and safety of the runway system at Keflavik International Airport.

The current taxiway system service will be disrupted due to construction work between 9 am on Tuesday May 17th till 18 pm on Wednesday May 18th. During this time flights might need to be directed over Reykjanesbær and the surrounding residential area of the airport.

Residents are reminded of the noise monitoring system on the Isavia website which enables people to guge noise levels and submit complaints about specific flights.
