Drone ban again due to volcanic eruption

Due to a volcanic eruption and necessary emergency and investigative flights, the Icelandic Transport Authority has, at the request of the Civil Protection Coordination Centre, prohibited drone flights in an area within 2 kilometers around position 6353N02223W, area BIR4 as per AIP SUP 06/24. The ban is valid until 23:59 GMT on March 25th, 2024.

Exemption requests shall be submitted to the Civil Protection Coordination Centre via e-mail [email protected] or via phone +354-831-1644.
