Epal and Kormakur & Skjoldur open at KEF Airport

The men's clothing store Kormákur & Skjöldur and Epal design store are back at KEF Airport. This is a so-called pop-up space is located next to gate C and will be open temporarily at the airport. They offer a selection of world-renowned brands, clothing suitable for all weather conditions, elegant gifts, and design products at good prices.

"It’s great and exciting to be back "home" at the airport, and we are grateful for the wonderful reception we have received from both customers and staff. We offer a great selection of beautiful design products, and we are especially pleased with how well we managed to make the space nice-looking with our excellent partners, Kormákur & Skjöldur,“ says Guðný Hermannsdóttir, Store Manager at Epal.

"It's really exciting to bring Kormákur & Skjöldur to KEF Airport, and especially to be able to do so with such a fun partner like Epal. We've managed to create a fun world here at the airport, filled with beautiful clothing and gift items, and it's nice to see how well the travelers have welcomed us," says Gunnar Hilmarsson, fashion designer at Kormákur & Skjöldur.

Passenger numbers continue to rise but Keflavik Airport is one of the few airports in the world that has fully recovered its passenger numbers post pandemic. Isavia's passenger forecast expects 7.8 million passengers to pass through Keflavík Airport in 2023, which would be the third highest number of passengers going through the airport in one year.

"It's nice to see these two Icelandic companies opening at Keflavík Airport. Kormákur & Skjöldur and Epal are fun shops, with desirable gift items for both Icelanders and foreign tourists, and therefore fit well into the airport shopping scene. Our goal is to make Keflavík Airport an even more enjoyable stopover, and for passengers to enjoy the terminal in their last hours before their flight," says Gunnhildur Erla Vilbergsdóttir, Commercial Manager at Keflavik Airport.

The pop-up shop is located at the airport next to gate C.
