First Wizz Air flight between Keflavik and Krakow
Wizz Air started its new service between Krakow in Poland and Keflavik Airport today. The destination will be served twice-weekly, on Mondays and Fridays. Wizz Air will be using its fleet of 230-seat A321s. This latest addition to the carrier’s roll-call sees Wizz Air become the first non-Icelandic carrier to operate a double-digit route network from Keflavik, with Krakow becoming the airline’s 10th connection from Iceland’s global gateway.
On arrival from Krakow this morning the inaugural flight was met with a water cannon salute. Passengers were treated to refreshments, cake and beverages, provided by Keflavik Airport operator Isavia.
Wizz Air is one of 29 airlines offering flights from Keflavik Airport to 75 destinations.
