Health Alert Notice for International Travellers in Iceland Concerning the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Keflavik International Airport cooperatives with the Chief Epidemiologist, the Directorate of Health and the Civil Protection Department to coordinate response to the increased spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). We recommend that if you have been in risk areas for COVID-19 in the past 14 days you should monitor your health until 14 days have passed since leaving the area. If you become ill with fever accompanied by cough, or difficulty breathing, you should consult a physician. If you fall ill with these symptoms while in Iceland please call 1700 from an Icelandic phone number or +354 544 4113 from a foreign phone where a health care professional will give you further information and guidance. The emergency services number in Iceland is 112.

We encourage passengers to use the facilities for hand washing and disinfection that has been installed at the airport. According to the recommendation of the Chief Epidemiologist, hygiene is one of the major factors preventing the spread of the virus.
