Icelandair starts direct services to Chicago

Yesterday, March 16, Icelandair started a year round scheduled flight to Chicago. Chicago is Icelandair‘s 15th destination in North America and the 16th, Montreal Canada, will be added to Icelandair‘s network in May.

“Chicagoans will now have a refreshing alternative when travelling to Iceland and beyond, and Icelanders and Europeans will have direct access to the vibrant and historic city of Chicago. This is an exciting and significant moment for Icelandair and we look forward to welcoming Chicago aboard,” said Birkir Holm Gudnason, CEO of Icelandair when the new service was announced in May 2015.

Isavia celebrated with Icelandair yesterday offering refreshments and live music to passengers.
