New commercial area opens at Keflavik airport

Last week a new commercial area at Keflavik International Airport was formally opened after complete renovation and redesign. Several new restaurants and retail outlets are now operating at the Airport and many of the previously operating outlets have extended their floor space as well as their selection. The renovations are part of Isavia’s efforts to further services to the increasing number of passengers moving through the terminal each year.

Isavia and operators in the area celebrated this milestone with a grand opening ceremony last Friday where operators offered guests a taste of their refreshments and products.  Entertainment included a world class fashion event where guests caught a glimpse of the clothing selection available at the terminal. The Icelandic reggae band Amabadama set the mood of the event with their optimistic, feel good sound.
