No Covid-19 measures at Icelandic borders

No Covid-19 measures at Icelandic borders

All Covid-19 measures at the Icelandic borders have been lifted. No prevention measures are in place, regardless of whether people are vaccinated or unvacinated.

Covid measures at Keflavik International Airport and regional airports in Iceland have also been lifted. No rules on the wearing of masks in the terminals are now in place. Passengers can, of course, wear masks should they wish to and can access hand sanitizer in the terminal buildings.

All Covid-19 measures in Iceland have also been lifted. All rules on limitation on social gatherings and quarantine requirements for those infected have been removed.

„We at Keflavik Airport are excited for the coming summer,“ says Guðmundur Daði Rúnarsson, Chief Commercial and Airport Development Officer at Isavia. „According to information from our partners interest in Iceland is high and booking flows look very promising.“

Health authorities in Iceland have said that the lifting of restrictions is a reason to rejoice but at the same time they encourage people to be careful and practice personal prevention measures. Keflavik Airport encourages passengers to give each other space where possible and to observe good hygiene to protect themselves and others.

More detailed information on the lifting of restrictions and on the Covid situation in Iceland can be found here. Information of measures during flights can be found with the airlines.
