No passenger flights through Keflavik airport from 2 am to 7 am due to industrial action

Due to industrial action, Keflavik Airport will be limited to ambulance and emergency flights only between 2 am and 7 am. The reason is that air traffic controllers at the airport are currently in a wage negotiations and as a part of their actions in the dispute, they have announced a ban on overtime work at the airport. As the two air traffic controllers who were supposed to be on duty tonight have reported illness, the ban prohibits other controllers to relief their duty.

No passenger flights will commence between 2 pm and 7 am.

Passengers are advised to monitor arrivals and departures on their airline’s websites or the website of Keflavik Airport:  www.kefairport.is.
