THE NINE-MILLIONTH PASSENGER PASSED THROUGH KEFLAVÍK AIRPORT THIS YEAR
On November 2nd Isavia employees greeted the nine-millionth passenger at Keflavík Airport this year. The passenger came to Iceland from Pittsburgh in the US with a WOW air flight. The lucky passenger is Olive Ho from Hong Kong that was travelling with Chun Liang Li from Taiwan. They stopped over at Keflavík Airport before continuing on their journey to Copenhagen.
Both passengers were presented with gift vouchers from the Blue Lagoon and the restaurant Hjá Höllu. They were extremely pleased with the unexpected greeting on arrival in Iceland. Olive Ho says that she has been once before to Iceland and that she will certainly find an occasion to visit again.
Nine million passengers have, over the course of the present year, passed through Keflavík Airport, the first time that such a milestone has been achieved. This number is the total of arrival, departure and transfer passengers.
