United Airlines Daily Nonstop Service Between Keflavik and New York Returns for 2024

United Airlines has announced the return of its nonstop daily seasonal service between Keflavik Airport and its hub at New York/Newark from 23 May 2024.  The service was previously operated between 2018 and 2022 and joins the airline’s existing nonstop daily seasonal service from Reykjavik to its Chicago hometown hub which started in 2021. Daily flights between Keflavik and New York/Newark will operate from 23 May to 25 September 2024 and flights between Keflavik and Chicago from 10 May to 25 September 2024.

“We are delighted that United Airlines has decided to resume flights between Keflavik and New York,” says Grétar Már Garðarsson, Director of Airline Relations and Route Development at Isavia. “The United States is a big market for us and we value the good cooperation we have had with United Airlines these past years. United Airlines is an important partner for us. The decision to add New York-Keflavik to the United schedule shows there is demand for travel between the United States and Iceland and we will greet the airlines travellers wholeheartedly next summer.”

“We are excited to announce this expansion of our seasonal services from Iceland to the United States for summer 2024,” said Marcel Fuchs, Managing Director International Sales, United Airlines. “For summer 2024, United will operate its largest-ever transatlantic summer schedule, offering our customers even greater travel choice and the possibility to connect via our U.S. hubs to other destinations across the Americas.”
