You can travel by coach/bus to and from Keflavik Airport. The trip from the terminal to Reykjavík takes approximately 45 minutes. You can buy the tickets and find further details on the websites of the coach/bus companies.


The Flybus is located right outside the arrival hall at Keflavík International Airport. The bus leaves every 35-40 minutes after the arrival of each flight.

Passengers can see information about when the next bus leaves on the screen in the terminal or they can ask for details at the Flybus information desk in the arrival hall.

The trip to Reykjavík takes about 45 minutes, and upon request, the bus will stop by Hotel Viking in Hafnarfjörður and Aktu taktu in Garðabær.

The bus stops at BSÍ Bus Terminal in Reykjavík. Those who have booked a Flybus+ ticket will be dropped off at their designated bus stop, hotel or guesthouse. Passengers will need to change into a smaller bus for their drop off.


There are departures from BSÍ Bus Terminal to Keflavík International Airport in connection with all departing flights. You can find the schedule and book a ticket on the Flybus website, at your hotel desk or BSÍ Bus Terminal.

The day before departure, Flybus+ ticket holders need to ask the hotel lobby to contact Flybus to book a pick up at your designated bus stop, hotel or guesthouse. It is also possible to contact Flybus directly to book the pick up at or by calling +354-580-5400.

Airport Direct operates the route between Keflavík International Airport and Reykjavik City at Airport Direct’s Reykjavík Terminal located at Skógarhlíð 10. Included is a one stop along the way at Hamraborg, Kópavogur.

An option is to add a hotel connection in order to be dropped up or picked up at your accommodation or nearest bus stop.

Airport Direct also offers a premium service using only 8 person shuttles. This service is always door to door, meaning straight to your accommodation from Keflavík. No change of buses is required.
